The firm’s founder, Kent Berreth, began his career at a large CPA firm in downtown Spokane and purchased the firm in 1990. Kent specializes in tax, audit, and accounting services across a wide range of industries, with particular expertise in Section 1031 deferred tax exchanges, construction accounting, and consulting and tax services for marijuana retail and cultivation businesses. He has practiced as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) since 1984.
Kent specializes in technical tax entity structures designed to help clients minimize federal and state income taxes. He also serves as a consultant to numerous small and medium-sized corporations and partnerships, providing strategic guidance on tax and business matters. In addition, Kent performs audit services for manufacturing and financial services businesses.
Kent has been married to his wife, Kirsty, since 1988, and they have three grown sons: Trevor, Kyle, and Cameron. All three live in Spokane, allowing the family to spend time together almost every week. Outside of work, Kent enjoys fishing, hiking, and a variety of outdoor activities, as well as spending time with his grandchildren.
